Columbia, SC (WLTX)- The vegan and vegetarian community in South Carolina is at least 1,000 strong, according to the Columbia Veg Facebook group. For them and anyone interested in the raw lifestyle, Restaurant Report Card took a veggie theme.

Low Scores:

Scotties Café and Grill, 10400 Wilson Blvd. Blythewood- 88-A

  • There were flies around the whole facility, food items were being stored on the ground and there was grease build-up throughout.
  • Follow-up: November 18

Fast Eddies Calzones, 817 Harden St. Columbia- 89-A

  • Inspectors found significant fly activity near the sinks, they were not holding proper hot or cold food temperatures and the equipment had grease and debris. 
  • Follow-up: November 24

Empire Supper Club, 920 Lady St. Columbia- 90-A

  • Inspectors found rodent and fly activity in the kitchen area and raw shrimp dripping onto ready to eat chicken, noodles and bread.
