Richland School Bus, Car Collide; Students Not Hurt

Richland School bus and car collide. No injuries

Columbia, SC (WLTX) - An accident Wednesday morning involving a Richland Two School bus and a car led to a mess but didn't injure any students or drivers.

The collision happened along Bookman Road near Two Notch Road in northeast Richland County.

A spokesperson for Richland School District two says it appears the car lost control and hit their bus. At the time, four students were aboard the vehicle.

Neither the children, the driver of the bus, nor the driver of the car were taken to the hospital. The students, were going to be checked out by a nurse when they got to school, however.

The district says the students were aboard a special needs bus and were going to different schools. Earlier they'd said they were all from Spring Valley High.

The spokesperson said the bus took a substantial hit, and will likely be out of service for some time.

The circumstances leading to the collision are under investigation.
