Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- An approaching cold front will bring rain and even some thunderstorms to the Midlands today.
These thunderstorms potentially could be strong or even severe this afternoon.
The greatest threat for severe weather will be between 3 PM and 7 PM, especially for the Southern and Eastern Midlands.
The main risk from any severe thunderstorms will be damaging winds, but there will also be the potential for isolated tornadoes.
The front will push through the area early Tuesday morning bringing an end to any remaining shower activity.
The rest of the workweek will be dry with temperatures slowly warming each day.
