Showers And Possible Thunderstorms For The Midlands on Wednesday

Columbia, SC (WLTX) A cold front moving through Alabama and Georgia this morning will give us a chance for some much needed rainfall throughout The Midlands today.

We are not expecting more than a total of 0.25" - 0.50" rainfall. However, a second cold front positioned in The U.S. Southwest will be moving through The Palmetto State late Wednesday evening that will give us not only more rainfall but the chance for some thunderstorms. There is a marginal risk for severe weather which some of the storms could be strong with brief heavy rainfall, lightning and strong winds. Showers will come to an end by daybreak on Thursday.
