Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- We've got to sweat our way through one more hot and humid day before we finally enjoy a much needed break from the heat.
We hit 100° again on Sunday, this was the 3rd time Columbia has hit the triple digits so far this season.
Monday will be hot again with high temperatures in the upper 90s but feeling over 100 degrees with humidity.
A front will move through the area this afternoon and there will be a slight chance for some isolated showers or thunderstorms, especially in the southern and eastern Midlands.
Any thunderstorm that develops could potentially be severe, the greatest risk from any severe thunderstorm will be damaging winds.
The front will move through the area late Monday afternoon and our skies will clear out.
Tuesday will turn noticeably cooler with highs in the upper 80s.
It will also be less humid so it will feel pretty comfortable weather for the end of July.
A little more moisture may move into the area Friday and there will be a slight chance for showers and storms under mostly cloudy skies.
This weekend we will see a better chance for rain on both and Saturday and Sunday and high temperatures will still be a little below normal with highs in the upper 80s.
