
Forest Acres, SC (WLTX) -- Forest Acres police have Tuesday released the surveillance video of a December robbery of Zoes Kitchen on Forest Drive.
Lt. Bryant Hinson with the Forest Acres Police Department said the incident was the first of three connected robberies on Forest Drive. Hinson said Zoes was robbed again on Jan. 22 and Groucho's Deli was robbed two days later.
Investigators say the suspects first robbed Zoes at about 9 p.m. on Dec. 13, 2009 when two masked men walked into the restaurant, one holding a pistol. The second man told employees what to do, officers say.
The attached surveillance video shows several angles of the crime.
On Jan. 22, investigators say one gunman robbed the restaurant, wearing a gray hoodie and a camouflage mask. Officers say the description for the gunman matches the description of one of the suspects from the first robbery at Zoes.
Officers describe the suspect to be about 6-foot-2 in height and 180 pounds in weight. Th other suspect is said to be about 5-foot-9 in height and 160 pounds in weight. Both men, said to be in their 20s or 30s, wore dark colored jackets, black pants and ski masks, according to police.
Investigators say three men robbed Groucho's at about 5 p.m. on Jan. 24, when they forced open a door that was being secured by a restaurant manager. The first man, said to have a beard, forced his way inside, while the others waited outside.
The first suspect is described as being 6-foot-2 in height and 225 pounds in weight, while the other suspects are said to be in their 30s or 40s, and weighing about 250 pounds.
