Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- The sunny and dry weather will continue Sunday. High temperatures will be in the lower 60s.
Saturday was mild and sunny. High temperatures climbed into the middle 60s for the start of the weekend.
Temperatures will drop into the lower to middle 30s for Sunday morning. Sunday afternoon temperatures will be a little cooler than Saturday. Highs will be in upper 50s and lower 60s.
Clouds will be increasing across the area Monday in advance of the next weather system. Winds will increase on Tuesday bringing warm, moist air. There will be a chance for showers during the day.
The chance for showers will continue Wednesday and even into early Thursday. Rainfall amounts will be generally in the 0.5 to 1 inch range over the three day period.
A cold front will pass through the Midlands early Thursday bringing an end to the chance for rain. Cool, dry air will push into the area for the end of the week and will likely last into next weekend.
