Trooper: One Dead in Two Car Collision on I-26

Columbia, SC (WLTX) One person is dead after a two car accident on I-26 near I-77. 

Lance Cpl. Sonny Collins with Highway Patrol says that a little before 5 PM  two cars,  Chevy Malibu and a Chevy Blazer,  were traveling eastbound on I-26.  According to Highway Patrol the Chevy Malibu's driver made an improper lane change causing both cars to run off the road and into a guard rail. 

The driver of the Malibu was pronounced dead at the scene and the driver of the Blazer was transported to a local hospital.  The driver of the Blazer was wearing a seatbelt.  

The accident remains under investigation.
