Troopers: Driver Crosses to Other Side of I-20, Dies

LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC - (WLTX) -- A two vehicle collision that resulted in a fatality caused traffic issues on Interstate 20 Saturday morning, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol. 

Troopers say the incident happened at around 4:00 a.m. near mile marker 39. We are told that the driver of a 2006 Chevrolet four-door vehicle was traveling west and crossed the line into the eastbound lanes. The driver ended up hitting a 2013 Hyundai. The driver of the Chevrolet died as a result of the crash. They say the other driver was transported to a local hospital with injuries.

This crash remains under investigation.
