Troopers: Pedestrian Struck by Two Vehicles in Hopkins

(WLTX) -- One man is dead after being hit by two automobiles in Hopkins, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol. 

The Richland County Coroner identifies the victim as 30-year-old Herberto Burgos II from Hopkins. An autopsy report indicates that he died from multiple trauma.

Troopers say the driver of a 2006 Infinity car was traveling on Airbase Road, near Lower Richland Boulevard, and struck the victim at approximately 8:45 p.m. Burgos was pushed into the northbound lane and was hit again by a 2007 Toyota Camry. Neither of the drivers were injured in this incident.

The collision remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
