Two Arrested for Manufacturing Methamphetamine in Springdale

Columbia, SC (WLTX) Two people were arrested in Springdale on Monday, charged with manufacturing methamphetamine according to Springdale police chief Kevin Cornett.

According to information posted on Springdale police's Facebook page, officers began investigating after receiving an anonymous tip about drug activity taking place in a room at the Carolina Lodge on Airport Blvd.

Officers made contact with the occupants and detained one for outstanding warrants and during that time officers observed methamphetamine making material in plain view.

When officers executed a search warrant on the room and found multiple methamphetamine making items including multiple reaction vessels and additional evidence that the two occupants had previously made meth in the room.

Samantha Driggers, 26 and Shane Lempp, 37 were both arrested and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine and possession of altered pseudoephedrine.

Both were then transported to Lexington County Detention Center.

Members of the Lexington County Multi-Agency Narcotics Enforcement Team assisted the Springdale Police Department with dismantling and properly disposing of the lab.

Chief Cornett asks that anyone with information about illegal drug activity notify their local law enforcement agencies.
