Two Men Arrested After Shooting Incident in Columbia

Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- Deputies have arrested two men after shots were fired during an attempted robbery on Sunday evening. 

According to arrest warrants, the incident took place around 5:30 p.m. on Sunday inside an apartment on Berryhill Road. One person was struck by a bullet and was transported to the hospital with a non-life threatening wound.

Garrie Brown, 27 and Channing Dixon, 26, are both charged with burglary, criminal conspiracy and possessing a weapon during a violent crime. Brown is also charged with assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature.

“Two men who were inside the apartment fought back against the suspects and disarmed them before deputies arrived,” Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon said. “Deputies arrested the suspects without incident."

A judge set bond for Brown at $50,000 and Dixon at $30,000.
