Veterans Parade: A Day To Honor

Veterans Day should be every day but since only one day is devoted to it we want to make sure you know about freebies.

Veterans Day is Friday, November 11 and a variety of restaurants and stores are offering free deals or discounts at participating locations. Make sure you carry your proof of service or valid military ID.

Applebee's:

Free meal from a special menu and get a $5 coupon that can be redeemed Nov. 12-27.

Baskin-Robbins: 

For every ice cream scoop sold in the U.S., the company will donate 11 cents to United Service Organizations.

Bonefish Grill 

Veterans and active military can kick off their meal with a free Bang Shrimp Appetizer.

Buffalo Wild Wings: 

Free small order of traditional or boneless wings with a side of fries.

Carrabba's 

From November 7 – 13, vets and active military can receive a free appetizer. To get the deal, bring along a military I.D. or uniform.

Chicken Salad Chick: 

Veterans get a free Original Chick meal, which includes a chicken salad scoop or sandwich, side, pickle and cookie, with a drink. No purchase necessary.  Find locations here

Chipotle:

From 3 p.m. to close, all U.S. military, military spouses and veterans get a buy one get one free burrito, bowl, salad, or tacos.

Chili’s

On Friday, November 11 all Veterans and military duty will receive a free entrée from a special Veterans Day menu.

The menu includes the following:

  • Oldtimer with Cheese
  • Soup & Salad
  • Chicken Crispers
  • Chipotle Chicken
  • Margherita Flatbread

Cracker Barrel 

Veterans will get a free Double Chocolate Fudge Coca-Cola Cake dessert. Must show proof of military service. More Details: Cracker Barrel 

Denny’s

All veterans and active-duty military are invited to Build Your Own Grand Slam at Denny’s on Veterans Day from 5:00 a.m. – noon. You must show proof of service. More Details: Denny’s

Build Your Own Grand Salem which includes four breakfast items:

  • New fluffy Buttermilk Pancakes
  • Eggs Cooked to Order
  • Sizzling Bacon Strips
  • Seasonal Fruit or Hash Browns

Fatz Cafe

Fatz Cafe will again extend an invitation to all Veterans and Active Military to join them for a free World Famous Calabash Chicken entree between 11 a.m. and 11 p.m. . To find your local Fatz Cafe location, visit www.fatz.com/locations.

Fazoli's: 

Veterans will receive a free "Build Your Own Pasta Bowl" on Nov. 11.

Golden Corral

Golden Corral will host Military Appreciation night with a free “thank you” dinner on Monday, November 14th from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. The dinner is for Veterans, retirees, and active duty members. You must dine in to get the free meal.  Must show proof of military service. More Details: Golden Corral 

Hickory Tavern

Hickory Tavern will provide 50% off all food and non-alcoholic beverages on Veterans Day for all veterans and active-duty military. It addition veterans and troops will also receive a certificate for 20% off their next meal. Must show proof of service. More Details: Hickory Tavern

Historic Columbia

In honor of Veteran's Day, Historic Columbia will offer free admission on all house tours to veterans on Friday, Nov. 11.  Veterans are invited to tour the Robert Mills House, Hampton-Preston Mansion, Mann-Simons Site or the Woodrow Wilson Family Home to learn more about Columbia's history.

On Friday, November 11, all veterans and active-duty military can enjoy a free entrée from the Hooters ‘Veterans Day’ Menu by presenting a military ID or proof of service at any Hooters location nationwide.

  • 10 Piece Traditional Wings
  • Buffalo Chicken Salad
  • Buffalo Chicken Sandwich
  • Hooters Burger

IHOP 

Free stack of red, white and blue pancakes to all veterans and active duty military. Available from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Krispy Kreme

Offering a free doughnut and small coffee to all those served or currently are serving on Veterans Day. A free doughnut and small coffee will be given to anyone who identifies themselves as a veteran or active duty military personnel (no ID required). Only at participating locations. Longhorn Steak House

On Friday, November 11 all Veterans and military duty will receive a free meal from a special ‘Veterans Day Menu.’ The special menu features six of Olive Garden’s most popular items. Outback Steakhouse

Free bloomin' onion and a beverage. Outback is also offering active and former service members 15% off their meals and their families' Nov. 12 through Dec. 31.

Red Lobster

Veterans and active duty military, and reservists will get a free appetizer or dessert from November 10 - 11. Must show proof of service with military ID card.

Any veteran, active-duty military, and military spouse will be treated to a free tall coffee on Veterans Day.

SportClips

Shoney’s

This year, vets and active duty military can chow down on a free All American Burger.

Texas Roadhouse

Texas Roadhouse invites veterans and active duty members of the United States military across the country to enjoy a FREE lunch on Friday, November 11. That's from 11 a.m to 2 p.m. 

 All veterans - including all active, retired or former United States military - can choose one of 10 entrees, including a 6-ounce sirloin and two made-from-scratch sides plus a choice of any Coca-Cola product, sweet tea/ice tea or coffee during lunch. Guests must show proof of service such as military or VA card, or discharge papers.

Twin Peaks

In honor of the holiday, diners with valid military I.D. can choose free food item from the Annual Veterans Day Appreciation Menu.

World Of Beer

All Veterans and active military can get a free select beer or $5 off your check at World of Beer locations. You must show your proof of service. More Details: World Of Beer

Any veteran or active military guest who presents a proper ID and/or comes dressed in their uniform will receive one free meal and drink from the full Zaxby's menu.

Zoe's Kitchen
