Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- Grassroots efforts to find missing 61-year-old Tom Sponseller have spread outside of the Midlands and into North Carolina.

Outdoor Ad's and Grace Outdoor began running billboards Monday night which show the missing Columbia's man's face.

The signs can be seen on electronic billboards in Columbia, Lexington, Charleston and Charlotte.

Sponseller hasn't been seen since last Saturday, when he went to work at his office in downtown Columbia. He's the President and CEO of the South Carolina Hospitality Association, the trade group that represents hotels, restaurants, and nightclubs. MORE: Moment of Silence in State Senate for Sponseller

At this point, police don't have a lot to go on in his disappearance. His family says it's uncharacteristic for him to leave without telling anyone.

The Help Find Tom Sponseller Page on Facebook announced a candlelight vigil at the State House Wednesday at 6 p.m.

Anyone with information should call Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC, or e-mail a tip in to Crimestoppers of the Midlands. You can also text information in by texting "TIPSC" plus your message to CRIMES (274637). Either way you choose, your identity will remain anonymous, and you could be eligible for a cash reward.
