Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- Richland County Deputies are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred early Sunday morning as a result of a verbal altercation at Mr. Lucky's night club at 2605 Seminole Road.
Deputies say around 3:35am a gunman shot a security officer in the upper body outside of the club. The security officer was transported to Palmetto Richland but was later pronounced dead as a result of his injuries.
According to officials, the gunman was also shot multiple times in the upper body by security at the club. The gunman was transported to Palmetto Richland. His condition is unknown at this time.
Deputies say they have also detained one male and two females who they believe are connected to the shooting.
Richland County Deputies are continuing to investigate this incident and question witnesses.
