Batesburg, SC (WLTX) -- The Lexington County Sheriff's Department, in association with the Batesburg-Leesville Police Department and the Lex. Co. Recreation & Aging Commission, held a Punt, Pass, and Kick competition sponsored by the N.F.L. September 29th.
Lexington County Sheriff James R. Metts said Batesburg-Leesville Resident Deputy Jacob Hallman coordinated the Punt, Pass and Kick competition.
A total of 13 children ages 6 to 13 competed in the event, which was held on the football field at the Batesburg-Leesville Leisure Center, 227 Highland Avenue, Batesburg.
The following children earned first place in the competition:
Boys ages 6 and 7:
D'Aundre Dennis, with a cumulative total of 107 feet
Boys ages 8 and 9:
Marshall Amerson, with a cumulative total of 103 feet, four inches
Girls ages 8 and 9:
Savannah Gunter, with a cumulative total of 90 feet
Boys ages 10 and 11:
Braden Walker, with a cumulative total of 221 feet
Boys ages 12 and 13:
Bryce Fields, with a cumulative total of 205 feet, six inches
