Denver, CO (KUSA) -- Firefighters responding to fire at a bar in Denver early today discovered five people dead inside.
KUSA-TV reports that authorities are treating it as a a homicide scene, although the circumstances surrounding the deaths and the fire are not immediately clear.
Denver police Det. John White has confirmed the deaths, the Associated Press reports.
Update at 7:52 a.m. ET: The Denver Post reports that firefighters discovered the bodies of four women and one man inside Fero's Bar and Grill as they were battling the blaze around 2 a.m. MT.
White tells reporters there "was some trauma to the bodies," The Post reports.
