Columbia, S.C. (WLTX) - The South Carolina baseball team has announced its schedule for the 2013 season, including 35 home games at Carolina Stadium.
The Gamecocks open the season on Friday, February 15, hosting a three-game series vs. Liberty.
For the fourth consecutive year, USC and Clemson meet for a three-game matchup, starting Friday, March 1st at Clemson.
Game two of the series on Saturday, March 2 shifts to Greenville, S.C. and Fluor Field, home of the Greenville Drive, a minor league affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, for the Reedy River Rivalry game.
The series finale is in Columbia on Sunday, March 3 at Carolina Stadium at 1:30 p.m.
The Gamecocks' 30-game SEC schedule begins on Friday, March 15, with South Carolina traveling to Missouri for the first time in school history.
A rematch of two NCAA College World Series teams will take place the week after as South Carolina and Arkansas meet at Carolina Stadium in the Gamecocks' first home SEC series.
Along with the Clemson series, South Carolina will play 10 additional in-state contests this year with Charleston Southern, College of Charleston, Furman, Presbyterian, The Citadel, USC Upstate and Wofford on the schedule.
In addition to Missouri on the conference slate, South Carolina will also face Albany, Ball State and Rider for the first time ever on the baseball diamond.
Coming May 21st - 26th, the SEC Tournament is set to be played at Regions Park in Hoover, Alabama, with the NCAA Regionals and NCAA Super Regionals the following two weeks.
The College World Series in Omaha, Neb. is slated from June 15-25/26 at TD Ameritrade Park.
