Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- Richland County Sheriff's Deputies are still searching for a suspect that escaped during the early morning on Saturday.
Deputies say they responded to a home invasion and shots fired call on the 2800 block of Bettys Lane around 3am. Several people were inside the home, but no one was injured.
Deputy Curtis Wilson says that three suspects were detained and brought back to Region 4 Headquarters for booking.
According to officials, when the suspects were being questioned, 31-year old Corie Lawrence, the suspect who fired the gun, escaped and fled on foot.
Deputies say they began a manhunt using helicopters and K-9 units.
Officials say that sometime during the early morning, Lawrence went to a house on the 100 block of Crestland Lane and took clothes and dog bedding.
Sheriff's have found and confiscated the gun used in the incident.
