Sumter County, SC (WLTX) -- One person is dead after a single car crash.

Around 3:30 Sunday morning, a 1993 BMW crashed on Spring Hill Road in Sumter County. The car was traveling east when the driver lost control and hit a tree.

Troopers said the driver was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene. The driver was not wearing a seat belt.

The name of the victim has not been released.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
