Columbia, SC (WLTX)- The Select Ensemble, Hammond's premier auditioned chior, performed before Pope Benedict XVI at the first Papal Mass of the new year.
In addition to singing with the Sistine Chapel choir, 44 Hammond students also sang as an individual choir and later performed at an evening Mass.
There was a welcome home gathering for the students on Sunday.
