Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Hundreds of South Carolinians gathered on the State House lawn Saturday afternoon for the national "Guns Across America" rally.

Those involved in the rally aim to show state leaders that there are law-abiding citizens who want to safeguard the Second Amendment of the Constitution.

The coordinator for the event, Eric Reed, says the rally is a "peaceful picketing protest against any and all future gun legislation."
