Columbia, SC (WLTX) - South Carolina Adjutant General Robert Livingston accepted a state flag that was part of an expedition to the South Pole.
Livingston got the South Carolina flag from Col. Tom Mullikin Wednesday.
Col. Mullikin carried the banner with him during on an expedition to the South Pole back in 2011. The trip was on the 100th anniversary of when the South Pole was discovered by a Norwegian explorer.
Mullikin met with scientists to talk about global climate change. Mullikin's next expedition will take place later this month to the Great Barrier Reef.
