Columbia, S.C (WLTX) - Hard work, discipline, friendship and self-esteem: those are the tenets of a Columbia ballet school called the Southeastern Professional School of the Arts.

Established as a 501c(3) non-profit organization in 2009, the school is located right here in Columbia and has recognized a need to make dance instruction and education available to the Midlands Community.

Normally ballet is seen as an activity that only a select few can participate. But, there's a bit if a twist as they have a program specifically for under privileged children.

Hillary Kriger-Toth and Gabor Toth, the co-owners of the school, are hosting their second fundraiser on March 22 at the Clemson University Lake House at 900 Clemson Road.

The event starts at 7:30 and light Hors D'Oeuvres and complimentary beer and wine will be served.

Tickets are $10 in advance and $20 at the door with the proceeds going to the SPSA's Art education fund.  That fund provides the resources and opportunities to help those children.

For more details about the school and how you can donate to the fund visit their website www.thespsa.org.
