Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- A special seminar to help increase public knowledge on Autism is being offered at the State Museum Tuesday.
Palmetto Parent is hosting the South Carolina Autism Society event, as a part of National Autism Awareness Month, from 6pm-8pm April 23rd, and tickets are $25.
The seminar will feature a panel of local Autism experts, and nationally known speaker Dr. Robert Naseef.
Autism facts to consider:
- Over 5300 individuals in South Carolina have autism, with many cases still undiagnosed.
- Autism affects individuals in every country, knows no racial division, and has no economic boundary.
- There is no cure.
- Autism is more common in males.
