Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Incoming juniors at the South Carolina Governor's School for science and mathematics kicked off their school year Monday by tacking a challenge course at Saluda Shoals.
The students were divided into 12 teams.
Half took on the challenge course while the other participated in a indoor workshop. The course provides students the opportunity to face and overcome challenges together all while getting to know each other, something the students say is really helpful to them.
For the next group activity the students will participate in startup day where they will have to solve real world problems. That event will take place in late September.
