Glibert, SC (WLTX) -- The Lexington County Sheriff arrested a man Thursday, September 19th, charging him with being in possession of two stolen motorcycles.
According to Lexington County Sheriff James R. Metts, detectives arrested 24 year-old Steven Anthony Dennis of Gilbert on charges of Grand Larceny, Possessing A Stolen Motor Vehicle, and Dennis' Second-Offense of Driving On A Suspended License, after he was stopped aboard one of the stolen motorcycles on Thursday.
Deputies reported that the motorcycle Dennis was riding when stopped on Neely Wingard Rd. near Gilbert, had been reported stolen in Aiken County.
In addition, the arrest warrants stated that on the previous day Dennis had allegedly stolen a Kawasaki motorcycle from outside a home near Lexington. Sheriff's Detectives later recovered that motorcycle, at an undisclosed location, and discovered the ignition had been damaged.
Dennis was released from the Lexington County Detention Center on Sunday, following posting bail of more than $16,000.
