Officers Bust Pelion Meth Lab; 8-Year-Old Found There

Pelion, SC (WLTX) -- Lexington County Narcotics Enforcement Team Officers executed a search warrant at a home in Pelion, seized a meth lab operated in the home, which was operated in the presence of an 8-year-old boy.

NET Officers arrested 37-year-old Jamie Williams Greenlee of 1570 Pelion Road, Pelion, on arrest warrants charging her with the manufacture of methamphetamine, unlawfully altering pseudoephedrine (a drug considered a main component to the production of Meth) - and manufacturing meth in the presence of a child.

Officers executed a search warrant at Greenlee's home, and found the components of a meth lab inside the residence. Officers placed Greenlee under arrest and dismantled the components, as well as contact the South Carolina Department of Social Services, who arrived at the scene and took the boy into emergency protective custody.

The boy was transported by DSS to a local hospital so a physician could assess the child's condition.

Lexington County Sheriff Deputies, in cooperation with the Batesburg-Leesville Police Department, and Lexington Police Department, operate NET to enhance drug enforcement in Lexington County.
