Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- A 10" SkilSaw brand compound power miter saw sold at Lowes Home Improvement has been recalled for the potential of a lower guard breaking.
DETAILS:
Miter Saws imported by Robert Bosch Tool Corporation of Mount Prospect, Ill.; sold at Lowe's Home Centers nationwide and OC Tanner from January to April 2012.
The model number of the SkilSaw 10-inch compound miter saw is on the lower right side of the name plate located on the motor housing.
The recall affects models 3316-01 and 3316-02 with only the following date codes: 111, 112, 201, 202, 203, and 204.
The SkilSaw logo appears at the top of the upper blade guard and on the dust collection bag. The miter saws were manufactured in China.
WHY: The lower guard can break and contact the blade during use, posing a laceration hazard to users.
INCIDENTS: No incidents or injuries reported.
HOW MANY: Approximately 22,149.
