Brawley Wins Race to Replace the Late Rep. Joe Neal

Wendy Brawley wins the SC House District 70 seat.

Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Wendy Brawley has easily won a race to replace the late representative Joe Neal in the South Carolina legislature. 

Brawley, a Democrat, topped Republican Bill Strickland 78 to 22 percent in Tuesday's contest for House District 70.

Brawley is the founder of Imara Women's Magazine, a lifestyle and personal growth magazine. 

House 70 covers part of lower Richland and Sumter Counties. It had been held by Rep. Joe Neal, who died unexpectedly in February.
