Report: 2 Arrested in Connection To Disappearance

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WLTX) -- According to reports, two people have been arrested in connection to the December disappearance of 20-year-old Heather Elvis from Horry County. She was last seen Dec. 17. Her car was found abandoned days later at a boat landing.

Citing information from the Horry County Police Department, WBTW says a search warrant was executed at an area home in search of potential evidence in connection to the disappearance.

Horry County Police Lt. Robert Kegler told the station two people were taken into custody, but no charges have been filed.

Kegler says expert analysis of surveillance video and financial discrepancies in documents filed with the state led to the home that was searched.
