Kershaw County, SC (WLTX) - Kershaw County deputies have arrested a man they say had hundreds of ecstacy pills in his car.
Officers arrested 25-year-old Hamilton Casey Peoples of Chesapeake, Virginia Tuesday.
Kershaw County Sheriff Jim Matthews says his officers noticed a Kia Soul driving erratically on Interstate 20. Officers say they pulled the vehicle over, and when they began questioning Peoples, he acted "extremely nervous" and was "evasive."
Officers say they searched his vehicles, and found 600 ecstasy tablets, which have a street value of $12,000.
Investigators say Peoples told them he'd flown to Virginia to pick up the drugs and was on his way back to Virginia. He says he'd been paid $1,400 to pick up the drugs and make the delivery.
