PITTSBURGH (AP) -- A judge has found a western Pennsylvania boy guilty of the 2009 shotgun slayings of his father's pregnant fiancee and her baby when he was just 11.
Jordan Brown's attorney said a judge on Friday found his client delinquent, the juvenile court equivalent of a guilty verdict. Brown is now 14, but the judge closed the trial to the media and all spectators except close family members because of Brown's age at the time of the killings of 26-year-old Kenzie Houk and her unborn baby.
Brown's family members and friends have maintained his innocence.
Houk was killed as she lay in bed in the New Galilee farmhouse she shared with Brown, his father and her two young daughters. She was 8 1/2 months pregnant when she died.
