3 Midlands High Schools Among U.S. News & World Report's 'Best in the Nation'

Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Three Midlands schools have been named to U.S. News & World Report's Best High Schools in the nation list.

The schools were Chapin High, Dutch Fork High, and Lexington High School. Chapin was also the fourth-best school in the state, Dutch Fork was fifth, and Lexington was sixth.

The list was compiled in a partnership between U.S. News and American Institues for Research. In total, 21,776 public high schools were analyzed for the survey.

To do well in the study, schools had to show they that served all their students well and successfully educated students on a broad range of performance criteria.
