Forest Acres, SC (WLTX) - Forest Acres is getting a Trader Joe's.
After weeks of speculation, people involved in the deal say the specialty grocery store will make its home on Forest Drive.
The building will be located on the old Columbia Athletic Club property. Coley Brown, the owner of that store, confirmed that he had sold the lot and building to Trader Joe's.
Forest Acres officials also say contractors with the chain have pulled permits for the demolition and first phase of construction.
On its website, Trader Joe's is described as a place to get "innovative, hard-to-find, great tasting foods" at low price.
The store is expected to open in early 2013.
