Nashville, TN (Sports Network) - The Houston Astros on Tuesday acquired
pitchers Alex White and Alex Gillingham from the Colorado Rockies in exchange
for pitcher Wilton Lopez and a player to be named later.
Lopez, who was reported last week to be part of a deal with Philadelphia until
the results of a physical squashed further talks, went 6-3 with 10 saves and a
2.17 earned run average in 64 appearances for the majors' worst club in 2012.
In four seasons with the Astros, the 29-year-old Nicaraguan right-hander was

White was 2-9 with a 5.51 ERA in 23 games (20 starts) for the Rockies last
season, and has gone 5-13 over 33 appearances with Cleveland and Colorado in
two pro campaigns.
Gillingham was 6-8 with a 3.66 ERA in 19 starts with Class-A Asheville last
year.
