Richland County, SC (WLTX) - The Richland County Coroner's office has released the name of a woman killed in a car collision last Friday.

Coroner Gary Watts says 23-year-old Brittany M. Powell died around 1:50 p.m.

Investigators say Powell was driving about a half mile from her home on Elgin Road when her vehicle collided with another car. Watts says Powell wasn't wearing a seat belt and died at the scene.

Her five-month-old daughter, however, was in a child restraint seat in the back and did survive.

The collision remains under investigation.
