(San Antonio, TX) - A statue of the baby Jesus in Sabinal, Texas, is crying tears say believers at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Churchgoers believe it is a miracle.

Last Sunday was going to be ordinary one at the parish until Maria Alaniz, who leads the choir, decided to add something to the morning Mass. So, she pulled out the church's statue of the baby Jesus, which had been stored away long ago.

"And I dressed him and I put him in the back," Alaniz said.

She placed the statue on table in the back of the church until the morning Rosary was finished.

"I ran back because we were going to start to sing. So, I went back and I was going to pick up the baby. That's when I saw the tears," Alaniz said.

For the next 30 minutes, the statute shed glycerine-like tears from both eyes, said Father Pedro Molina.

"His tears just kept rolling and rolling and rolling," Alaniz said.

The 40 parishioners gathered and stood in awe, Molina said.

"All the congregation, we were crying," Molina said. "Everybody took out their cell phones, some of them have cameras. For me, it was a very special day. I feel like God is telling us he is alive.
