Suspect May Be Connected to Eight Robberies

(Richland County) - Richland deputies are currently investigating a series of robberies that began in early July, striking the Dentsville and Broad River Road areas.

Investigators with the Richland County Sheriff's Department are looking into the likelihood that the eight robberies may be related due to similarities. They say that the robbers always strike at commercial establishments, they are always a single robber armed with a handgun, the time of day of the incidents is always the same and the suspect always fits the same description.

The connected incidents include: 7-6-07: 4 p.m., 5301-B Forest Dr. at the Cash Advance Check Cashing 7-24-07: 3:15 p.m., 2700 Broad River Road at the Express Check Advance 7-28-07: 8:50 p.m., 10136 Two Notch Road at the Pier One 8-2-07: 3:15 p.m., 2207-B Decker Blvd at the Express Check Advance 8-4-07: 7:13 p.m., 7363 Two Notch Road at the First Cellular 8-8-07: 5:45 p.m., 3315 Broad River Road at the Rent-A-Center 8-10-07: 2 p.m., 10149 Two Notch Road at the Cash Bucks Check Cashing 8-16-07: 2:50 p.m., 10171 Two Notch Road at the A-1 Check Advance
