POWELL, Wyo. (AP) - Officials in Powell, Wyoming have crunched the numbers and done the math.
That's why they want to limit the number of rabbits homeowners can keep. The city council has given initial approval to an ordinance limiting rabbits to three breeding pairs a household. Some residents back the proposal. It has left others hopping mad.
The bunny battle began after a resident complained that his neighbor's daughter's rabbits made him sick.
But the city's police chief says rabbits are among the reproductive wonders of the world. If you have six, he says, it won't be long before you have 60.
The ordinance still awaits final council approval.
