(Orangeburg County) - Authorities say one Cope woman is dead after a motorcycle accident on Cannon Bridge Road at about 1:15 Saturday morning.
Corporal Paul Brouthers says two motorcycles were going southbound on the road, when the first had an electrical problem, and the second ran into the back of it. Brouthers says two people were on the first bike, 44-year-old William Sanders, of Cope, and the 47-year-old deceased female.
Troopers say two people were also on the second bike, 46-year-old Frank Taylor III and an unknown female. All were taken to the hospital, except the woman on the first bike, who died on the scene.
Brouthers says the accident is still under investigation.
