West Columbia (WLTX) -- Lexington authorities were once again at the home of dog breeder Dawn Mohead. Their Thursday investigation concentrated on a backyard pool that neighbors believe holds the corpses of several dogs.
Lexington County Animal Control continues to investigate Mohead after dozens of animals were found to be living in filth on her property.
Early this morning several tanker trucks were at Mohead's home at 121 Earline Drive. The trucks were being used to drain a backyard pool.
Last week neighbors told News 19 that several dogs may have been submerged in that pool. Authorities are not commenting on what if anything has been found.
On Thanksgiving Day 41 dogs were taken from Mohead's home, 2 of which were dead. Officials are not releasing any information at this time on the condition of those animals.
