(WLTX) - A Kershaw Co. high school teacher has been arrested.
A spokeswoman for Kershaw County schools has confirmed that Thomas Shults, a teacher at North Central High, was arrested on Monday.
The representative also confirmed that Shults has been administrative leave, with pay, since late October for "unprofessional conduct" in the classroom.
The school district's investigation of the matter is ongoing.
Attempts to reach the Kershaw Co. Sheriff's Department for further details were unsuccessful.
