(WLTX) -- Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton made a morning appearance at Benedict College Friday, and then spoke with News19's Jennifer Lindgren.
Friday's campaign stop at Benedict was not Clinton's first time visiting the historically black college. She says she's very impressed with Benedict, because it's a good school that also offers an affordable education. Clinton says that mirrors one of her campaign issues, college affordability.
Clinton says South Carolina's colleges and universities' costs have risen faster than any other state in the United States.
Clinton says she wants to make healthcare available for every American, through healthcare tax credits.
The New York senator says she wants to give parents the tools they need to educate their children through public education, and to help fight the increasing dropout rate in South Carolina.
