Manning (WLTX) - The Clarendon County Sheriff's Department has charged a supervisor of a special needs facility in Alcolu for failing to report the abuse of a resident.
Ellen Thompson turned herself in Tuesday night and was charged with failure to report the abuse of a vulnerable adult.
Last week, 51-year-old Albert Brown was charged with assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature.
Brown is accused of abusing Mitchell Coker, a man who has suffered with epilepsy since he was a boy.
Investigators took pictures of Mitchell Coker's injuries. They show the victim with severe bruises on his back. He was treated at a local hospital and released.
