
SUMTER COUNTY (WLTX) ? The Sumter County Sheriff?s Office has now released the name of a man who is charged with killing a pizza delivery driver in January.
Because he was a juvenile up until Wednesday when he turned 17-years-old, his name has been withheld.
Reggie Canty, of Cherryvale, was charged with armed robbery and murder in the in the death of William ?Bill? Flexon.
On Wednesday, Canty was picked up from the Department of Juvenile Justice in Columbia and was transported to the Sumter-Lee Regional Detention Center. He is currently awaiting a bond hearing on the murder charge. He was denied bond on the armed robbery charge back in January.
46-year-old William Flexon, who worked as a delivery driver for Sambino?s Pizza, was not only robbed, but also shot and killed while making a delivery on Cherryvale Drive. Authorities say the mobile home where he was supposed to be delivering to was unoccupied Flexon died from a gunshot wound to the chest.
20-year-old Daniel Jackson was also arrested and charged with armed robbery and murder.
