CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - Charlotte police have arrested a Union County, NC man in the disappearance of a state insurance investigator. Police said Monday they have charged 40-year-old Michael Arthur Howell of Indian Trail with first-degree murder. The North Carolina Insurance Department said no one had heard from forty-four-year-old Sallie Rohrbach of Angier since Wednesday. She was in Charlotte to investigate a complaint at the Dillworth Insurance Agency. Rohrback's car was found Sunday at a restaurant in Charlotte, less than a mile from the agency. Police had the agency cordoned off early Monday. They did not say how they linked Howell to Rohrbach or whether a body had been found. Rohrbach had been scheduled to return to Raleigh on Friday.
