Kershaw County (WLTX) -- Kershaw County School District officials say students aged 18 and younger in their school district are eligible for free meals throughout the summer, starting June 9 to July 31.

Officials say the effort is part of the USDA's Summer Food Service Program, and is open to every child in Kershaw County younger than 18 years old.

Organizers say the meals are planned to be served at Camden Middle School at 416 Laurens Street in Camden, and they say students have to eat the meals in the cafeteria.

Officials say breakfast is scheduled from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m., and lunch is scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Meals will not be served on July 4th, in observance of Independence Day, officials say.
