Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- Getting rid of your old television isn't as easy as setting it out on the curb.
The South Carolina Department of Health and Enviromental Control says it's very important to dispose of electronics, including analog televisions, properly.
Some counties and towns do not accept televisions in landfills. There are several manufacturers including Samsung, Sony and LG that take them.
