West Columbia (WLTX) - The Lexington County Sheriff's Department is investigating an accident where a car crashed into the side of a school
It happened at the Congaree Early Childhood Center on Thursday morning. School officials say a mother was dropping their child off at school, when her car jumped a curve and sidewalk, then crashed into the wall.
Authorities say no one inside the school was injured, and that the driver and child that were in the car were treated and released at the scene.
School officials say that damages to the building are minor and are only on the exterior.
No word yet on what caused the accident.
